This method needs a pump that is used to flood the plants with the nutrient solution. The solution works by supplying needed substances at a temporary phase as the solution is drained back into the reservoir. The pump works with its own timer to flow the nutrients in and out of the plant several times a day. The time interval needed to water the plants is dependent on the type of plant, the humidity, the temperature of the surroundings, and the chemistry of the solution used.
