SOIL: The heather plant will do just fine in rocky soil, making them good candidates for coastal hillsides where few plants grow. Slightly acidic soil with a pH of 4.5 - 5.5 will work well for this plant.
For a longer season full of harvest, it is best to plant different types of corn with varying maturities. You can also plant corn with beet, bush bean, cantaloupe and parsley as well as cucumber, pea, pumpkin, squash and early potato.
If you have a short growing season then Determinant would be better as it flowers earlier but produces all of its Tomatoes at one time and then stops growing. If you have a longer spring, summer and fall or whenever your growing seasons are then the Indeterminate would be better as it starts a little later but flowers and bears fruit all thru the season until frost. The Semi Determinate is a combination of the two and the Dwarf is more compact and with smaller fruit.
